It's really late at night and I'm sitting on a couch in the same dressing room waiting for Michael's fans to exit the stadium; just until one of his security guards notifies him that the building is clear. I'm sitting on a beautiful, red, and very comfortable couch next to Michael. He's facing me, but I'm not paying any attention to him. I'm staring at my hands that are resting on my lap and one is lying on top of the other. I'm lost in thought of how to go about the rest of the night. Questions are circling around the inside of my mind and thoughts of how to make this time less awkward is making me feel stressed and uncomfortable.
"You feeling okay?" Michael asked in the very quiet room.
"Is there anything I can do to make you feel better?"
"Please don't find this rude in any way, but I just want to go home and see my sister."
"You have a sister?" He asked with a smile.
"Yes I do. Her name is Scarlet." I smiled back.
"How old is she?"
"Wow, she's very young. Do you think I could meet her sometime?"
"Sure, I don't see why not."
"Great." He smiled bigger. "What else should I know about you?"
"Well, both of my parents weren't around; I actually can't remember them, but my grandmother took my sister and I in to take care of us. She supported us both and was good to us."
"Yes. She passed away months after I turned eighteen. I inherited her house and my sister and I have been living there for a little while."
"Victoria, I am so sorry. I will be more than happy to give you any kind of help and to even be there for you and your sister when needed. You still have my number right?"
"Yes I do. And thank you for being so kind, but we're doing okay."
"I'm trying to befriend you though. I want to help you in anyway when needed."
"Thank you Michael, but I really don't think help is really necessary. My sister and I are very very different and can take care of ourselves. But I wouldn't hesitate of you being my friend." I smiled slightly.
"I'm happy to hear that."
I kept giving off a little smile and looked back down at my hands that were still lying on my lap. My smile drifted away slowly trying to think of something else to talk about that I could bring up.
"Since you know a little about me, what should I know about you?" I said looking up at him with my undivided attention to experience his answer.
"Well, I've been singing and dancing since I was very young, I've done a lot of charity work and still doing it and I love it, I have a lot of siblings; some I'm closer to than others, I'm more close to my mother than my father, there's a lot." He giggled.
"Do you like your life?" I asked very curious of what his answer might be and being prepared to be surprised or astounded.
"I love life." He smiled. "Do you?"
"Well, life blessed me with some good times, but a lot of bad times." I didn't want to continue from memories and moments coming back to me and feeling my heart crack.
"So, you don't like life."
I shrugged and hung my head down hiding my sad face.
"I think you and your sister need to come and visit Never Land with me." He smiled.
My head was brought up with a big smile and a glowing face.
"That's what I love to see. That's one of the things I love about life is making other people happy." He explained.
"Life must be good to you." I assumed.
"Yes and no. I trust people too easily and end up in heart break. And then there's people that make assumptions about me that aren't true."
"Boy, don't I know that feeling." I crossed my arms as I rolled my eyes.
"Do you live it a lot?"
"Believe it or not, I do."
